Gramicci have teamed up again with Japanese brand, Taion, to keep you warm this coming winter. Combining Gramicci’s durable outdoor inspired clothing with Taion’s warmth and breathable down insulation, their garments are just what you need during the colder months ahead.
What is Taion?
Taion is a Japanese brand that specialise in down insulation, making wintertime layering a whole lot easier. Taion translates to ‘body temperature’, with an aim on keeping the body warm in the cold. With a focus on versatility, the Japanese brand creates garments suitable for all environments.
The Tokyo based brand aims to set the standard within the outerwear industry, designs that are functional and minimal. With practical lightweight looks made for city street wonders or hilltop hikes.
Taion has a signature look, the geometric square down design is the most efficient way to compress and retain body temperature, great for heat regulation. Taion’s outer shell is made from a high-density nylon, providing both water and stain resistance whilst remaining lightweight.
Lightweight and packable garments are what Taion strive for, most of Taion’s clothing come with a bag for an easy packable storage solution, great for while out and about. The lightness is achieved by their special selection of materials, this includes a combination of mature waterfowl down (90%) and feathers (10%). Pieces can weigh as little as 200g.
Taion thrives on breaking boundaries and setting the standard in the industry. They are constantly challenging expectations with clothing that can take you from the streets to the mountains. Their collapsible constructions are great for on the move as well as their lightweight, breathable padding which keeps you warm without the bulk.

Gramicci have continued to collaborate with Taion, combining their durable outerwear designs with Taion’s warmth and breathability.
The two create a specially developed outer material Ripstop fabric that is slightly rough, giving a unique appearance and a slight stretch. The material is designed to be as robust as possible to combat the outdoor environment.
Their collection is both functional and versatile featuring a selection of down accessories and liners. They offer a practical solution to battle the colder months with an elegant, minimalist look.
